It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bernard Carriere after a long battle with cancer. Bernie was a gentleman and a scholar and a very talented photographer. He will be sadly missed by the artistic and photographic community.
Bernard Carrière and his wife Helen worked together as a team for 40 years. They had a portrait/wedding professional business for 12 years. In the last 10 years Bernard and Helen concentrated on fine art photography, from landscape, nature, and wildlife photography to portrait studio fine art photography. They had numerous exhibitions in galleries, and won several awards in juried shows. Bernard had his work published in photographic magazines (eg. Shutterbug) and on calendars and taught advanced photography at St. Lawrence College.
Over the years, Bernie worked behind the camera and Helen carried out the post-processing chores. Helen is now going to take up the photographic chores and will be posting her photos in her own gallery on the galleries page. Helen loves landscape and nature photography and has recently started to concentrate on still life images. We hope you will follow her on her photographic journey.
